Welcome to Crossroads!
Crossroads is a public, “alternative” high school offering a regular diploma. Graduating seniors participate in the Quilcene School District ceremony, and must complete the same credit requirements as Quilcene High School students. Crossroads offers a more flexible, individualized program designed around student interests. Transcripts indicate credit/no credit rather than letter grades.
Crossroads works well for independent-minded students who can take responsibility for their own education. While some students prosper in a regular classroom with group lessons and a more set curriculum, other do better learning at their own pace and style. Some Crossroads students earn credit faster than regular school, making up for time lost earlier; others take an extra year to graduate.
Please talk first with Crossroads graduates, teacher Phil Davis or the Quilcene High Counselor to see if this is the right school for you. Then if you are interested, please fill out the application on this web site. The admission committee is the instructor Phil Davis, Quilcene Principal Jim Betteley and the Quilcene High Counselor.
This alternative Learning Experience (ALE) is open to grades 10 to 12. Out of district students are welcome to apply.
