Lake Crescent 2012
Lake Crescent is a deep lake that is located within the Olympic National Park of Clallam County, Washington, approximately 17 miles west of Port Angeles. The official depth is 624 feet, and considered the second deepest lake in Washington State. However, unofficial depth measurements of more than 1,000 feet have been recorded. Lake Crescent is known for the exceptional clarity and brilliant blue water, caused by the lack of nitrogen which inhibits the growth of algae.
